The Rosensteel Family

When the Rosensteels asked me to take their family photo, I was excited at the opportunity. John is a Pastor at Blackhawk, the church that my husband and I have been attending for the last 5 years. Over this past year we both have gotten to know John better. This past year has also been an exciting tim for the Rosensteels as little Eden arrived last Christmas Eve! She is not only a cutie, but she knows it! You'll see what I mean in her photos below!

The best is yet to come....

The beginning of 2009 brings hope and anticipation for a great new year. I thought I'd take the chance and switch up my blog to a new format. I hope you enjoy it! I appreciate your comments and your feedback.

To my past clients and friends, thank you for all of your support this past year! It has definitely been a year of growth for me professionally as I grow and refine my skills. 2009 is sure to not disappoint, with my first 4 weddings scheduled for this summer. I am ecstatic at each of these opportunities, and I can't wait to shoot them! (Well, and it means that warmer summer weather is right around the corner!)

I am a sucker for all of those "Year in Review" shows on TV this time of year, so I thought I'd post a "Jenn Van Wyk Photography Year in Review". Below are some of my favorites from 08'.

May peace, love, and prosperity find you this new year!

Kooiman Family

I met the Kooiman Family at their home this past Saturday morning, and boy is their little guy Isaiah active! We had a great time playing in the living room and we eventually found ourselves outside in the snow for a little Wisconsin Winter fun! This was Isaiah's first time out in the snow and he didn't know quite what to think, it was so cute! Thanks for letting me come over and take pictures guys, and I hope you have a great Christmas!

Krez Family

I met the Krez family through a photo shoot I donated to a Realtors(R) silent auction. We also took some photos of their extended family, but I thought I'd share with the blog world what cuties their three kids were! I had a really great time getting to know them, and their story and wish them all the best in the future!

Look at this cuite, doesn't her smile just say that she's up to no good?

I love this age where they try to smile so hard it looks like hurts!

Thanks guys I had a great time!

Heller Family

I met the Heller family at their home on the south side of Madison. It was a great fall day, and as you can see, the leaves were just gorgeous! It also helped to plop this adorable little kid in the middle of them!

Now, this little guy's mom told me that he loves paper... so the next best thing outside was a leaf! I love this look in his eyes like "Mom should I eat this? Because it tastes really bad!"

Mauer Family

My husband and I have known the Mauers in one way or another for many years, so I was delighted to have the chance to take pictures of their new little family!  This little guy is a cutie, and I’m having a hard time picking out which photos to share!  I mean, come on, check out this little tie and vest outfit - its adorable! Below are a few of my favorites!

Steve - Class of 2009

I met Steven at his home one crisp beautiful November morning.  A future 2009 graduate, I had a great time getting to know him and his family!  Steve is a great young man with a bright future in the US Marines.  We started his shoot out in the backyard with his acoustic guitar and cowboy wear.  Here are some of my favorites.  The bright morning sun gave us some beautiful drama in some of these shots.
